Comedy shows are getting nominated for awards left and right, y’all. This past Thursday, the Television Academy announced the 2018 Emmy Award nominees–and a few familiar names made the cut.

Drunk History earned its fourth straight nomination in the Outstanding Variety Sketch Series category and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee earned its second nomination in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category. Full Frontal also got nominated for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series, and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for Sam Bee’s “The Great American* Puerto Rico” episode.

Neither series has won before, but here’s hoping that 2018 will be the year when that all changes–though Full Frontal has some stiff competition in the form of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. The Daily Show (which has been consistently killing in the news coverage department, Trump-related and otherwise) nabbed its first Outstanding Variety Talk Series nomination since former host Jon Stewart left the show in 2015.

It’ll be a couple more months until we find out whether or not Trevor Noah and Sam Bee will get even more bragging rights than they have now, but until then you can check out one of our favourite Full Frontal clips below.

Catch the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards on CTV on September 17.
