Every year we drag our alcohol-soaked bodies back from Just For Laughs in Montreal and think to ourselves, “There’s no way next year’s festival can top this year’s. I need to eat a vegetable”. Then inevitably we get word of who’s coming to the next one, totally forget everything and everyone we saw previously, and start dreaming of cheese curds and strange French street clowns.
That annual memory wipe has begun today because this morning at 6am Quebec time, Just For Laughs announced this year’s full lineup, and as always it contains a jaw-dropping number of A1 comedians that’s so good it sounds fake.
First of all, Julia Louis-Dreyfuss and a few of her Veep pals (Tony Hale, Timothy Simons and David Mandel) will take to Maison Symphonique at Place Des Arts on July 27 for An Evening with the Cast of Veep.

It’s going to be a HOT show, but odds are many of you reading this won’t be able to go because you live in a faraway province or can’t afford such things. That’s what makes this next paragraph very exciting.
We here at Comedy have teamed up with Comedy Central for an unprecedented four-night event that will bring the festival into your living room or bathroom or wherever you keep your television set. We’ll be taping Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle July 27-29 at L’Astral , culminating in a July 31 finale airing LIVE in the US and Canada. The bracket style competition will see comics go head-to-head in front of Roastermaster General Jeff Ross, referee/comedian Brian Moses, and a panel of celebrity judges. This is gonna be huge!!

If that weren’t enough, the festival will also feature Howie Mandel, David Cross, Lewis Black, Hannibal Buress, Jeremy Hotz, Brian Regan, Maria Bamford, Russell Howard, Iliza Shlesinger, Kathleen Madigan, Nikki Glaser, Comedy Bang! Bang! Live as part of ComedyPRO, and tons more.
THEN, there’s OFF-JFL that that includes Alan Carr, Tom Green, Janeane Garofalo, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Cameron Esposito and Tommy Johnagin as hosts forHosts with the MostNick ThuneAdam HillsSteve RannazzisiKurt MetzgerBig Jay OakersonBarry CrimminsLouie AndersonEmo PhilipsPiff The Magic DragonBeth StellingMichelle WolfTodd Barry,Aparna NancherlaJermaine FowlerMark NormandMatt BraungerThis Is Not Happening hosted by Ari ShaffirThe Alternative Show hosted by Andy Kindler, and  Best of the Fest.
