Noted Nerdist Chris Hardwick has a new stand-up special called Funcomfortable in the can, and rather than hype it in a traditional way befitting of a tech-phobic Neanderthal, Hardwick stayed true to his reputation with something more advanced.
Check out this preview which utilizes the latest in optical technology to give you what appears to be a second row seat to the special. Shot using a 360 degree camera, the video gives you the ability to look around the room as Hardwick performs some crowd work to his eager legion of fans. We’ve never really felt the urge to look around a space as we’re watching comedy, but it’s a great opportunity to stare at those seated behind you, and make fun of the girl beside you wearing a toque indoors without her knowing.

You’ll have the opportunity to watch Chris Hardwick’s Funcomfortable in the usual way on May 7th at 10ep on Comedy. In the meantime, enjoy your life.
