With Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and Chris Hardwick still on vacation this week you may be tempted to tune into the news or the weather report rather than Comedy. We’ll save you the trouble – the world is in decent, but not perfect shape, and it’s summer so it’s likely warm and possibly raining outside. Okay, now that we’ve got that figured out, check out what we got to distract you from the problems of the world by making you laugh your tanned buns off.

1. Welcome to Sweden – Thursday at 9ep

On Thursday we’ve got the series premiere of Welcome to Sweden, produced by Amy Poehler and starring her brother Greg as a celebrity accountant named Bruce who moves to Sweden with his girlfriend, Emma, whose Swedish family Bruce struggles to impress. Throughout the season you’ll see guest spots from Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell, Aubrey Plaza and Gene Simmons and probably a fair amount of jokes about modular furniture.

2. Sullivan & Son – Tuesday at 10:30ep

Season three of the show we’re sure someone has called “this generation’s Cheers” rolls along with an episode called “About A Boy, His Mother, And The Man They're Dating”. It may sounds like some sort Wayans brother spoof that combines About A Boy with Three Men and a Baby but it’s actually about Carol reconnecting with a sightly man whom Owen wants to spend a lot of time with him, leading to complications and hilarity. Elsewhere, Ok Cha is pitted against Roy in an eating contest featuring spicy food.

3. Whitney Cummings: I Love You – Saturday 10ep

After her eponymous sitcom got cancelled, Whitney took some time off before prepping the material for her new special I Love You. Early reviews are saying she’s as sharp as ever so be sure to check out the special where she gives brutally honest insights about love and relationships, covering everything from what real orgasms look like to her frustration at men calling women “crazy.” In front of a packed audience, she dissects her recent breakup, her TV show, and the troubling voices in her head.

4. Adam Devine’s House Party – Friday at midnight ep

Join Adam and his raucous friends for the final party of the season where Super Steve skydives from outer space right into the middle of things while Adam hosts comedians Kevin Barnett, Byron Bowers and Esther Povitsky.

5. Midnight Movies – Saturday and Sunday starting at midnight ep

Weekends aren’t weekends unless you’re staying up late and staying up late isn’t staying up late unless you’re watching funny movies. With this logic in mind, check out our slate of films airing after hours this weekend:
