Seth MacFarlane wrote a novel? And it's based on his own screenplay? The film version of A Million Ways to Die in the West, which MacFarlane wrote and stars in, will make its theatrical debut on May 30, but you can buy a paper-and-ink version of the story starting today. During their chat on last night's Daily Show, MacFarlane and Jon Stewart also talked about hosting the Oscars, a gig they've both held. (MacFarlane hosted last year, while Stewart hosted in 2006 and 2008.) "It's the worst job in the world," Stewart said, and MacFarlane agreed, adding that it's a "Kobayashi Maru." Which apparently means it's a no-win situation—since the host presumably can't also win an Oscar.
