We wouldn’t normally highlight some boring election in Virginia, but things are getting weird in Virginia’s gubernatorial race between Terri McAuliffe and Ken Cuccinelli. First of all, prim 19th century grandmother Cuccinelli wants to outlaw all oral sex. Which, predictably, hasn’t been such a popular idea. To help Cuccinelli stop being such a blowhard, fellow blowhard Rand Paul recently stepped in with an attack speech on McAuliffe—that was lifted partially from the Wikipedia entry for the movie Gattaca. On last night’s Report, Colbert defended Paul’s act of plagiarism, reading directly from Wikipedia to demonstrate why reading directly from Wikipedia is totally fine and normal. Journalism!
